How To Wear A Circle Scarf

Hi,

A few days ago we showed you a video from Accessorize on how to wear a blanket scarf. Now we found another helpful picture, this time on how to wear a circle scarf. Blanket scarfs are the newest trend, but circle scarfs are also still in fashion. Most people wear them doubled, so we tought we should show you some alternative ways:

We really like how she uses her scarf as a dress too. :)

How To Wear A Blanket Scarf

Hi,

In our spotted post about the model Ola Rudnicka we told you that blanket scarfs, the kind of scarf she's wearing, were about to be a great trend. And that turned out to be true. :) Maia bought one too (a black one from H&M) and she loves how many ways there are to wear it! To give you a little overvieuw, here's a video we found about it:

It's a video from Accessorize, where they sell a lot of cute scarfs too.

How To Take Good Care Of Your Nylons

Beauty Pantyhose | via Facebook

Hi,

Altough it's at the moment actually too cold for it, nylons are one of the essencials in every girls closet. What would we do without them? :) But the problem with them is that they rip so easily... Maia prefers the thin and transparant ones, but she already had to trow away a lot of them, even after one of two days of wearing them.

So what can we do to save our precious nylons? We've some tips for you:
1. Roll your panty's up before you put them on. This way they'll at least not tear even before you went out with them. Also make sure you're nails are smooth before you put your panty's on. This is the same for your toe nails by the way.
2. Put on a body-lotion before putting on your panty's to prevent them from catching on dry skin or something like that.
3. Altough it's less pretty, thicker tights are way better quality and will keep intact longer.
4. And if you don't like thicker panty's you should at least go for the toe-reinforced kind of panty's. Those are also more comfortable by the way. But when you don't have those, you can just wear a pair of socks over your panty's, that'll have the same effect.
5. Of course you also have to take care when you wash them. Best is to wash them by hand, so you can made sure nothing tears a whole in it. When you don't have time for this you can try putting them one of those lingerie bags.
6. This is rather a tip for when there's already a snap in your panty. If it's still a small one, you can try putting nailpolish on it to prevent it from running. You can also try hairspray (or actually everything that's sticky). When you decide to use hairspray you can also spray a little (just a little) over your whole panty's. This'll make them a bit stronger.

Poncho's

Hi,

Today is Femke's birthday! :D

In our spotted-post about Ola Rudnicka we wrote about these kind of poncho's everyone's wearing at the moment. Ola has one from Burberry, but of course that's not everyone can afford these super expensive brands. So we were hoping one some cheaper alternatives. And now we finally found those! :)

http://s3.amazonaws.com/springfield-shop/public/system/products/83010/extralarge/P_856491401FM.jpg?1411543812
The first one we found is from Springfield. It costs
€36,99.
http://s3.amazonaws.com/springfield-shop/public/system/products/81934/extralarge/P_841441651FM.jpg?1410160813
And here's another one from Springfield. This is one you can close with buttons, while the first one was more like a big scarf (like the one from Burberry).
Also H&M sells a pocho. We like this one less than the ones above, but it will probably be easier to combine with all colors of coats. It costs €34.99.
Image 6 of TWO-TONE PONCHO from Zara
This beautiful poncho is from Zara. It costs €39.9.
Image 1 of FRINGED JACQUARD PONCHO from Zara
This one's from Zara too and costs €59.95

Aren't they beautiful? :D And they're not difficult to combine: they go with every basic coat. Especially black makes them look very chic. You can also wear them under your coat combined with a waist belt.

Asos' French Fries Gloves

Hi,

Almost winter, so almost time for gloves again! And today we spotted a really funny pair on Asos. They have a french frie-print and they only cost €11.37

Since the collection Moschino presented on the Fashion Week in Milan these fast food-prints have been a huge trend. It was a very funny collection wich was inspired on McDonalds and food packages.

📱

Also the IPhone cases with this typical french frie print are really a trend. It started with the one from Moschino in the picture above, but also cheaper brands have copied it yet.

The Ultimate Hair Brush Guide

Hi,

Having the right hair brush is really important. Once we made a post in wich we said you should always use a hair brush made out of natural hairs instead of metal. This helps to prevent getting split ends. But beside the material your hair brush is made of, the shape is equally important. It can make your hair smoother or give more volume or even prevent staticness. So before you grab your curler or sraightener (wich are incredibly bad for your hair), you should first look if you can solve your hair issues with the right brush.
We know that in the picture above there are still some metal brushes, but we're pretty sure you can find them made out of natural hairs or plastic too. And even if you don't, it'll always be better than using heat on your hair.

How To Wear Your Bobbypins Different

Girl Hairstyles | via Tumblr

Hi,

Last week we made a post about a different way to tie of your braid. We love to do something special w ith our hair, even if it's just some little detail. Besides tying of your braids in a special way, you can also do something special with bobby pins. Especially when you have pins in bright colors, or just another color than your hair color, you can make a lot of fun patterns. Here are some excamples we found on WeHeartIt:

Girl Hairstyles | via Tumblr

A lot of people wear their bobby pins wrong by the way. The grooved side has to face down, so that it captures more hair and locks it in place. So do it like in the picture above, not like in the picture on top of this post :)

Another bobby pin-tip here: when you spray your bobbypin with hairspray it will hold longer. This is really conveniant for girls like Maia who have really straight hair that won't hold anything.

Afbeelding 1 van LEREN COUNTRYLAARSJE van Zara
Of course Zara has a lot of beautiful ankle boots too. Like this ones, wich cost €70
Afbeelding 1 van ENKELLAARS MET HAK EN TRACKZOOL van Zara
And another pair from Zara! These are super high, but we think they're still comfy, because of the large heel. They cost €90.
Afbeelding 1 van ELASTISCHE REGENLAARS van Zara
These, also from Zara, are more like rain boots. They're €40.
http://image.romwe.com/images/product16/AS2609/AS2609.jpg
Most ankle boots are black or brown, but it's also nice to have a more collorfull pair. At Romwe we found these for €39.99

Did you notice large high heels are back in fashion? We're glad to see this, because they're way mor comfy to walk with. And of course they look amazing too :)

DIY: Flower Crown

Hi,

We recently found a really interesting tutorial on We Heart It. It's on how to make your own flower crown!
We both really want a flower crown and we went shopping for it, but both of us haven't found a perfect one yet... They're all too full, too empty, too colorfull, not colorfull enough,... So we were really happy to find this tutorial. Now we can finally make a perfect crown ourselves!

It appears that you don't need a lot. Just wire, a headband (they made that with wire too in the tutorial), something to cut wire with and a lot of cute flowers!
It seems to be very easy to do! Here's the tutorial:

diy flower crown

You can heart this tutorial on our We Heart It page! :)

Now we don't know were to buy these flowers, so we haven't made one yet.. :s But we probably will!

Maia's Loom Bands

Hi,

In our post about Loom Bands we promised you that Maia would post about the ones she made when she came back from vacation, but she kind of forgot about that... So sorry, but still here they are:

She started with the easiest way to make them. We didn't post a tutorial about how to make this kind of bracelets in our previous post, but it's not difficult at all. You just fold one elastic double and put another one through it, than you fold that one double and so on.

Next she tries the fishtail bracelet. Altough that's not that difficult to make, these are her favorites. As you see she made three of them. And this last one is glow-in-the-dark. :D
And then suddenly she became an expert. No just kidding, this is one a friend made for her. :) It's really beautiful, but it's probably also really difficult to make.. :o

That's all! She became bored of it a little soon, that's why she didn't make that many. :) Also, they're not such good quality, because some broke already! :o They're from the real Loom Bands-brand, but still..

Cute School Stuff

Hi,

Unfortunately the vacation is almost at his end. But that means that you can go shopping for cute school stuff (if you're a student of course). And to help you with finding the perfect things we selected some our favourite school stuff for you:

Rambling Rose Flask
In Urban Outfitters they sell many cute things for school. One of them is this pretty flask for € 19,00. Perfect to take hot soup to school in the winter. And it comes with a cute little cup.

Embossing Label Maker
We know this is not something you really need for school, but you can always use a labelmaker, because who doesn't need labels? This one is again from Urban Outfitters and we think it looks so cool! It costs € 17,00.

White Pattern (White) White Grid Print Backpack | 318718419 | New Look
This backpack of New Look is so fashionable! We know it's probably a bit to small for school, but it just had to be in this post. It costs € 29,99.

A must have to take with you to school is a makeup bag. This one with unicorns all over it is from Forever 21 and costs € 4,95. Femke wanted to buy this one for so long now, but she never got the time to go to the Forever 21. And Forever 21 sells many other cute makeup bags by the way.

A mirror is also a must for school. Femke has always one in her pencilcase, but you can also put one in your makeup bag. This one is from Forever 21 and costs € 2,95. And they sell them in all kinds of prints, but we really like this one.

This unicorn shaped sharpener is so beautiful! It's from H&M and costs € 4,99.

Wow, these labels are gorgeous! You can buy them in H&M for € 4,99.

Schrift, groot, naturel met koraalrood druppeltjesdessin
In Dille & Kamille they sell lots of these notebooks in many different prints and colors for only € 2,25. And you always can use a noteebook at school.

Aren't these things cute? We now it's all super girly, but well, that's what we like.

Loom Bands

Hi,

You've probably already seen the trend Loom Bands, the small elastics were you can make bracelets out of. They became a huge trend and are also very fun to make: perfect when you've got nothing to do this summer.
First we thought it was a little childish, but literally everybody has them! Also a lot of celebs fell in love with them for excample Kate Middleton (as you see in the picture above), Miley Cyrus and Harry Styles.

And if you've already have some looms but don't know how to get started, here are some video's that can be helpfull:

This first video is on how to make a normal fishtail bracelet, wich is very easy and not that difficult. The video is not such good quality, but it's explained very well and that's what matters the most.

This one is on haw to make a hexafishtail bracelet. It's way more difficult but it looks really cool.

This one looks really special! It's a dragon tail-bracelet and it's not that difficult to make. Also everyone has got a fork, you don't need anything special to make this.

Maia has bought a packet of looms too, but she hasn't made one yet (she's going to take them on vacation with her) but we'll post about it when she's made some. She bought glow-in-the-dark ones by the way. :)
She found hers in a toy store, but also Claire's sells them and you can find a lot on internet too.

Suitcases

:)

Hi,

It's finally sumer vacation! You're probably al going on vacation, or maybe you'll just spent some time with family but whatever you're gonna do, you'll probably need a suitcase.
We've searched for some pretty suitcases on webshops and these are the ones we found:

http://ak1.polyvoreimg.com/cgi/img-thing/size/l/tid/108828554.jpg
We love vintage suitcases! This one doesn't seem so
convenient, because it's a bit small, but it's reeeeealy lovely! :)
It's from Fossil.com and costs €92
http://a1.zassets.com/images/z/2/9/1/6/7/6/2916761-p-MULTIVIEW.jpg
This one's probably way more convenient. It also looks kind of vitage,
but it's made out of fabric instead of leather and it has a lot more pockets.
It's from Zappos and costs €110

http://is4.revolveclothing.com/images/p/fw/z/GLOB-UY4_V1.jpg
This one's also really cute. It's from Forwardforward and costs
€1815, wich is a lot... :s
When you travel by airplane it's good to have a suitcase in a bright color,
because you'll recognise your suitcase faster that way.
http://www.mulberry.com/mulberrymedia/renderer/images/8800230801438/PRODUCT/MEDIUM/S5/HL7641_001Q330.jpg
This one looks really chic!
But it's from Mulberry, so it costs €1100 unfortunately ;)
http://riverisland.scene7.com/is/image/RiverIsland/651447_main?$CrossSellProductPage514$
Also River Island sells suitcases. Orange isn't realy
our favorite color, but it sure looks very cheery here. :)
This one costs €81.

http://johnlewis.scene7.com/is/image/JohnLewis/233104498?$prod_lrg$
This one's also pretty, altough less cheerful, and very chic!
It's from JohnLewis.com and costs €315.

http://ak1.polyvoreimg.com/cgi/img-thing/size/l/tid/100491132.jpg
And this last one's from Shopbop and costs €1080.

Maia also needed a new suitcase, because the one she had was waaay too small... Here's the one she chose:

When buying a suitcase, you must consider that you need a TSA-lock when you're planning to go to America.
