Nivea Hand Cream

Hi,

Femke also has this Nivea hand cream. This one is very populair and almost everyone has it. It’s cheaper than the one from Herôme and you need to apply as much as with the Herôme hand cream. It doesn’t give that beatiful look, but Nivea heals better and your skin is a little softer too. And it prevents that your nails dry out, but Herôme is more a nail product so for real damaged nails you better use the Herôme hand cream. When you have cold and your nose hurts and is red just put a little bit Nivea hand cream on it and next day it will be better again. So really a must!

Garnier Ambre Solaire After Sun

Hi!

Wether if you burn fast or not, if you’re outside the whole day, you should use after sun in the evening.

Maia tried out Ambre Solaire from Garnier. The bottle says it’s a hydrating tan maintainer, but it makes you much browner… Not the kind of pretty brown, but a very fake tan… Maybe if you don’t tan yourself, you can use it as a self-tanner, but mostly your original skin color looks best on you…

Guerlain Nailpolish

Hi!

When Maia went shopping she tested Guerlain nailpolish out in the Ixi Paris XL and this is the result:

It only needs one layer and dries very fast. It looks very chic and pretty (Maia chose the pink color from above, it’s n° 165) but it only stays 3 days… The price is around €20, so that’s actually very expencive because it stays as long as most cheaper nail polishes.

Essence Liquid Ink Eyeliner

Hi!

Maia's newest make-up purchage is this liquid eyeliner from Essence. Before she had this one, she used an eyepencil, but it took her always really long to put it on so she wanted to try out liquid eyeliner and Essence is always a good choise if you try out some sort of make-up for the first time, because it's so cheap (this one costed only €2.49).

This eyeliner is very handy because of the small dip brush and it's way easier to put on than an eyepencil.

What we don't like about this liquid ink eyeliner is that it wipes out easily. But there's also a watterproof liquid ink eyeliner from Essence, very handy for summer. :)

Herôme Hand Cream

Hi,

Femke has this hand cream from Herôme. It costs € 6.60, wich is a little expensive, but worth it! You only need to apply a little bit. It does absorbs very fast and your hands look directly very healty and beautiful. Your hands are 24 hours soft. And it's very good for your nails too. It prevents that they dry out. So really a must for your hands and nails!

5 (Or Even More) Ways To Dry Your Nails Fast

Waiting until your nailpolish is dry is so anoying, because even after an hour you can still ruin your nail art. Maybe you've read our post about the dry drops from Essence and than you know that it works very well. If not check it out here.

We are real big fans of Cutepolish on YouTube (if you don't know Cutepolish, here's the channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/cutepolish?feature=g-subs-u Check out the video's and of course subscribe :) ) and when we saw the video about the 5 ways to dry your nails fast we were really excited!

Another (more expensive) way to let your nails dry fast is buying a uv nail dryer. You can also hold your hands in the fridge for a while. We know this sounds ridiculous, but it's a fast, easy and cheap way to dry your nailpolish. :) Also heat helps it dry faster (even if they say it doen't in the Cutepolish video) so in winter you kan hold them above the fireplace for a while (make sure you don't burn yourself!) and they'll dry quickly too or in the summer you can just let them dry very fast in the sun. Also make sure you always aply thin coats.

Ke$ha's collection by Charles Albert

Hi!

Have you already seen Ke$ha's jewellery collection by Charles Albert? If not, you should take a look, it's kind of special... Some are very beautiful, for exemple the roses and stone pendants, but some are really weird like the tooth, skulls and penisses. Some are very cheap but some are way to expencive, like the skull necklace for $600! :o It's a big succes, but we actually don't really like it... Vintage Stuff

Hi,

We're both very obsessed with vitage stuff! Femke her grandma gave Femke some pretty real vintage stuff, so we really like to share it we you!

Femke always wanted a old clock. This one was from the dad of Femke's grandma, so it's very old! But it still works and it's so pretty... Now you can buy these kind of clocks in Claire's, Six, ... too, but it's always nicer to have a real vintage one.

Femke loves roses, so of course she fell in love with this vintage necklace!

Many years ago cropped tops were in fashion too. Of course this is not something Femke's grandma will wear right now, so Femke got it.

Femke got this very chic and classy necklace too.

Femke loves this vintage lace shirt. And the back has this zipper. So pretty...

And the last thing Femke got was this lace dress. Well, actually it's a shirt, but it was so long for Femke that it's more a dress. Under it she wears a basic black top(from Pimkie) and a basic black mini skirt(from H&M).

We already tested the Essence Colour & Go, but now we're going to test the Essence Colour & Go quick drying nail polish for you! This is a old one, but you can still buy the same one in a new bottle.

We love this color! It's like a galaxy nail polish. But 1 day? That's not so good... It did dry very fast! So if you want that it stays longer on your nails: it doesn't take much time to dry, so you can put it very fast on every day you want it and it will look like it stays longer.

Dove Go Fresh Body Wash

Hi,

We love the Dove products! They give you a very soft skin... Femke bought this body wash from Dove. It smells very good! There is pomegranate and lemon verbena in it. On the bottle it says 'go fresh' and it really gives you this very fresh feeling. Okay, we always get a fresh feeling after showering, but with this one even more! Femke really loves to use it during hot days like these. So really a must!

The Satchel

Hi!!!

The satchel, or you can call it a messenger bag too, is a big trend lately. So really a must! Perfect to buy right now in the sales! Femke bought this one in the Zara for € 15,00:

It's not a big satchel, but Femke found this one so cute! She just had to buy it! Well, here are some other satchels we like: 

This one is much bigger than Femke's one, but still very beautiful. It's from H&M and it costs € 19,95. You can buy it in black too, but we like the red one more. It really looks like a authentic messenger bag.

This one is from Urban Outfitters and it costs € 125,00, a little too pricy... But still very pretty! It's very girly and cute. And this one is almost the same size as Femke's bag, which makes it even cuter! You can buy it in yellow too, but de pink one is the prettiest.

Another one from Urban Outfitters. This one is even more expensive, it costs € 179,00. This one is big, but not as big as the one from H&M. So lets say it's a medium.

This is a very special satchel from New Look! And it costs € 26,00. It looks very small, but it actually is very big. You can even use it for school or work!

Another one from New Look! Beautiful huh! This one costs € 24,99 and it's a medium.

We think this one is very pretty! It's also from New Look and costs € 14,99. You have it in pink and yellow too. It's the same size as Femke's one, so it's a small satchel.

Essence Colour ³

Hi!

Today we're going to test another nail polish! This time it's Essense Colour ³. You've probably seen them before because they're not so new and the belong to the regular Essence assortment. They're actually the same as the Essence Circus Circus besides the name and they've switched the colour in the middle from black to white.

 

They're not expensive at all, only €2.89 for two times 4 ml! That's super cheap! And just like all the Essence nail polish it stays 3 days. It's a little clumsy because it's heavier than a normal nailpolish and you always have to make sure it's closed, because you have to turn it around the whole time. But that not such a drama. :)

Maia has this pink one and one with orange and red, but because it's such pretty weather now she felt more pink. :p

The first colour of this bottle is 'Shopping Trip In Soho'. It's a simple, girly shade of pink. Not very special but an every day color that will probably go with almost all your outfits. :) In the pictures above Maia's wearing it on her little finger and middle finger.

'Party All Night Long' is a transparant colour, so not that pretty to wear on it's own but over 'Shopping Trip In Soho' it gives your nails a deeper, shiny colour. You can see it on Maia's other fingers.

So these double nail polishes are definitely a must have!

Hairbrush Diva

Hi!

Did you knew that if you don't want split ends in your hair you should use a brush with natural hairs instead of a metal brush? Well now you do, so make sure you only use the one's with natural hair! They may cost a little bit more, but it's really much better and better spent a little more money and have healthy hair than buy a cheap brush to have split ends later on...

Being too much of a diva is not good of course, but sometimes (like in this case) it's better, so be a real hairbrush diva and take care of your hair! ;)

Gliss Kur Hair Repair Liquid Silk Anti-Klit Spray

We've already told you about the other Gliss Kur Hair products, but now we've tested out the Anti-Klit Spray too.

 

It's an easy spray you can use on tangled up hair before you brush your hair.  This is what Maia's hair looked like before and after the spray:

 

So you can see her hair is softer, shinier and less messy. This spray is a must-have for people who's hair just doesn't want to be brushed in the morning. :)

Caire's Club Lip Balm

Hi!

We really love lip balm! So when Maia was at Claire's she saw this cute set of Claire's Club Lip Balm and couldn't resist it. ;) They smell really good and look super cute, but do they work well? Not really... It's not as good as Labello or something like that. So if you want real good lip balm, you don't have to go to Claire's. It costs €10 (for the 6 together), wich is not that much, but it's also not that good so it's a fair price. :)

Essence XXXL Shine Lipgloss

Hi!

We really love Essence make-up! It's not expensive at all, there is much choise and mostly it's good quality. A friend of Maia gave her for her birthday Essence XXXL Shine Lipgloss (she already had a pink one, but this red one is ever cuter :p ). It's indeed very shiny, so it's not pretty if you use too much. It's not sticky but it doesn't stay very long... It smells really great! You can apply it very easy and it only cost €1.79 (in Kruitvat)! There are many different colors and this are our top 3 of the prettiest colors this season:

Our number three is 07 Big Night Out:

On number two, we've got 15 True Love (it's Maia's one from the first picture)

And our number one is... 21 Red Blossom! It's a fancy, bright color, a little bolder than the other ones (wich are darker or more nude colors).

Biocura Mascara

Hi!

Yes indeed, we've tested mascara from Aldi! I bet you've never bought make-up in Aldi, so we've tested out if that's a good thing or not. First, the price is really good! It cost something like €2, while some mascara costs €20!  It looks natural (maybe because this is a natural color) and it makes your eyelashes a little longer. It doesn't give much volume and a second layer is a little clotting... So our conclusion: if you want a natural look, you should try Biocura (if it doesn't work for you, you still haven't pay lots of money for it).

DIY: Bun maker

Hi!

One of our fist posts was a donut bun tutorial, but we realised there are a lot of people who don't have a bun maker. Of course you can buy one (H&M, Claire's, Kruitvat, ...) but we know a cheaper way: make it yourself! It's very easy and the only thing you'll need is an old sock. All you have to do is cut of the tip of the sock and roll it. You'll have the exact same shape as a bun maker!

Nailart: Pink Roses

Colours can look different in the bottle so start with finding the right colors for your nailart.

Ok, so first you'll need a base coat. We've already tested out this Essence Ultra Nail Repair (clic here to see it) and it wasn't that good so that's why Maiay's using it as a base coat.

The first color you'll have to put on is a dark pink color. Maia's using one from Top Beauty .

Before you start with painting the roses, make sure the dark pink color on your nails is really dry (you can use Essence Express Dry Drops to make it go faster). To draw the rose you can use a paintbrush or a toothpick. It's not difficult at all to paint this little rose. Start with a small dot in the middle and then put half circles around it.

For the roses you need a brighter pink color, like this the first colour of her Essence colour³. We've also tested it out (click here to take a look).

Now paint roses on all your fingers and tadaa you're ready!

Garnier Ultra Doux Hair Mask

 

Hi!

For girls with longer hair, hair masks are really a must have! It makes your hair very soft and shiny so it'll be easier to comb.

There are different kinds of these hair mask from Garnier but we prefer the avocado.

This one is actually for dry and curly hair, but for straight hair it works too. It makes your hair really soft and makes it smell really good even after a day.

Maia has almost always used these hair masks from Garnier and she really likes it so she'll probably use it for much longer. :) When she was younger her hair was a lot longer, but she had hair knots every day and it hurted so much to comb them out! So she used to put very much of this hair mask in her hair and then her mum combed her hair until the knots where all gone and guess what? It worked really well! So if you have the same trouble try this mask.

Headwraps

Hi!

Headwraps are very cute, you can find them everywere and they don't cost much at all, so we think everyone should have one! It makes your hairstyle a little special without spending a lot of time on braiding your hair.

Maia didn't have one yet, but really wanted one, especially after she saw a youtube tutorial from Bebexo with easy but fun hairstyles using this kind of headband and also LuxyHair made a tutorial for a twisted headband style. So first she went to Claire's, but  a headwrap from Claire's costs at least €5 and she didn't find one she really loved... Next she went to H&M and guess what she found! Five of these cute headbands for only €3.95! There not as special as the one's from Claire's but they're adorable and cost almost nothing. :)

 

Ofcourse there are many different ways to wear a headwrap. The way that the most people wear it is the 'hippie style', just around your head. You've probably seen it before. You can also wear it like a headband. That's cute but not that special and it also works when you make a braid or an updo. We've also told you Bebexo and LuxyHair made videos about how to wear them so here are the links.
