Something you maybe never thought about is that there are different ways to curl your hair with a curling wand/iron. Or maybe you have thought about it, but you don't know how to do it. Than will this picture we found on We Heart It be very helpful for you. It shows you different ways how you can curl your hair.
We almost never curl our hair, because we don't want the heath to demage our hair. But that's why we highly recommend you to use a heath protect first! Just a little reminder.
Wow, that's a long title. But that's how these shampoo and conditioner are called. Femke bought them a while ago, but she wanted to make sure if it really works before she made a review about it. So here is finally the review! These products are against frizz as you probably all already guessed. It says it smoothes up to 100% of roughness and controls frizz. On the photo above it says only 80%, well that's weird... Maybe that's an older bottle. But Femke agrees with the 80%. Because this really makes her hair frizyy free, but when the weather is very humid or when her hair is very dry it won't have any effect anymore. But that's still very good news, because this is actually the first product Femke ever tried that made her frizz go away! It also makes her hair super soft. And everyone always says these products smell super good, but Femke don't find it that awesome. It smells good, but it's for her not the perfect smell like everyone says. But it's probably just Femke who thinks that. So if you have frizzy hair we would totally recommend these shampoo and conditioner, because it's a miracle!
We don't own any of the things we're going to show you today. But Femke is going to do some serious makeup shopping soon and for preparation she did some research so she won't regret any of the things she bought. And while she was doing her research she noticed some brands who have the cutest packaging. You know: the brands with the kind of packaging that you keep when you finished all of the makeup. Femke wants to buy everything of these brands, but unfortunately they are a bit pricey. :( But it's a great thing you can ask as a gift. We're going to show you each brand with our wishlist of it, so you can have an idea of what we like the best and than you can add it to your wishlist too.
The first brand we're going to show you is Too Faced. You probably already heard of this one and if you haven't than you really should check it out. There packaging has always a vintage style that's very chic, but also super cute. Here is our wishlist:
Maybe you haven't heard of the brand Too Faced, but you might saw this palette before on We Heart It or Tumblr. It's the Chocolate Bar Eye Shadow Pallete and come on, it's the cutest palette ever! And not only the packaging is perfect, but the colors look great to use on a daily basis too. It costs $ 49,00, which is expensive, but we really think it's worth the money.
Another thing we really want of Too Faced is this blush. You have 3 colors, but we like this one, Candy Glow, the most. And the packaging is again so cute! It costs $ 30,00. And we really think it's worth the money, because first of all the packaging is way to pretty and second of all it's very big, so you can use it for a very long time.
The last thing on our Too Faced wishlist is The Little Black Book Of Bronzers. The packaging is still very cute, but not as much as the other things we showed you. But this palette has 8 bronzers and on the left 'page' there is written some information of each bronzer with some cute drawings. We want this! When we saw the extremely expensive price, $ 139,00, we were very shocked, because this looks a very small palette. But it's actually very big. It's still very expensive of course and maybe not something you would ask as a gift, but you can always save money to get it yourself.
The next brand is The Balm. The packaging of this brand has mostly vintage pictures on it, which we think looks very cute. Here is our wishlist of there products:
The Balm sells many pretty palettes, but since we like these colors the most this is the one we want. One of Femke's favourite makeup youtubers, Lauren Curtis, also said that the white of this palette, Matt Malloy, is the highest pigmented white eye shadow she ever used. So it's probably a very good quality. We also think the concept of this palette is very funny. So this is definetely on our wishlist. And it costs by the way $ 42,00. But like we said before they have many other palettes and they're all very pretty and funny too, so you really should check them out.
Another palette of The Balm we really want is the 'How 'Bout Them Apples?' palette. This is a lip and cheek palette. That means that you can use it on your lips, but also as blush on your cheeks. And once again we think the concept is very funny and the packaging in general looks very cute. This costs $ 32,00.
The last brand we found is Benefit. This one is as expensive as the other two, but has less cute packaging. So we would say there packaging style is pretty normal, but sometimes it has a vintage twist. But in our wishlist we're only going to show you the cutest products of course. Here it is:
The Benefit Fine One One is definitely on our wishlist. You may think: what is this? Well it's a blush and a lipstic. We think it looks amazing! You have a highlighter, a coral shade and a peachy shade, so this is many staps in one. It costs $ 30,00, which is again pricy, but you won't find anything else like this.
The Pore Fessional is a primer and many people swear by this product. We have heard many times that this is the best primer ever. So yes, we would love to give it a try. And again the packaging looks super cute. It costs $ 31,00.
These were the brands with our wishlist of it. And if we ever get or buy one of the products we showed you today you'll definitely find out, because then there will follow a review like always.
Bandeau's are really must have for summer. You can wear them under a tank top (if you choose one in a fluo color this can look very fun) or under a strapless dress (than you can better choose a black or white one) or like a cropped top if you feel confident about that(than you can wear special ones like the ones above). First of all we want to appologize for the fact that there wasn't a post yesterday. The reason for that is Maia's computer. She tought she posted, but appearantly it didn't work. It's not even in concepts, it just dissapeared... But okay we hope we can make it up by posting something very useful today!
Broken powder. It happens... And it's really annoying when it happens to your best blush or eye-shadow. It's really hard to use when it's broken and Maia has thrown away some of her broken powders, because she found it really annoying. Also everytime you open it you spill it and you can spent some very precious morning-time cleaning it up again. But while searching Pinterest she found a great post about how to fix broken powder. Seems impossible right? Well it's actually really simple and the only thing you need is alcohol! Here is the post she found:
America today is known for there pajama pants, because they are so pretty and comfortable. They are a bit more expensive. Well maybe not that expensive, but if you're used to H&M prices you will find these pajama pants expensive. Femke bought these shorts a half year ago. So they aren't that old yet, but she did wear them a lot, because she liked them very much. And look what happend to them:
Femke is always very careful with her stuff, so she can't believe that this happend. It's probably because she washed them a lot. But still... She has pajama pants that are way older and way cheaper and that still look perfect. So we think it's the quality. Luckily Femke's grandmother could repair what happend to the first photo. But she can't replace the bow on the second photo. And who know how fast something else is going to get ruined again. Femke is very sad, because she really liked these pajama shorts. But what we are trying to tell you here is that you better don't invest in pajama pants of America Today. And it can be possible that it won't happen with your pajama pants, but we aren't going to take that risk anymore.
We found this picture on We Heart It that says how you should apply your blush according to your face shape. And we never really thought that the shape of your face makes a difference in applying your make up, but it does. And you maybe already have noticed that there is a way of applying your blush that makes you look the prettiest. But if you don't know how you should wear your blush yet, here is the picture we found:

We probably all wish we have soft healthy lips, don't we? It may seam something you have to be born with and only those few lucky people have it. But that isn't true, because anyone can have soft healthy lips if they want to. And it isn't really that hard, just keep reading this post to find out how you can get soft healthy lips.
First you should buy some Labellos. And you can buy as much as you want till you have a big collection like Femke. That's nice, because then you have different flavours. But it's not necessary. There are only 2 you really need. And that's
the Sun Protect Labello
and the Pure & Natural Milk & Honey Labello
You should use the Sun Protect Labello every morning and on sunny days maybe a couple times more during the day. This will protect you lips for the sun, which will prevent wrinkles and dry lips. And in the evening you should use the Pure & Natural Milk & Honey Labello. This is Femke's favourite Labello ever, because it makes your lips super soft and healthy. And we know there are many other lips balm brands, but Labello is our personal favourite. So if you can find another brand that is as good as Labello(which we don't think that exists) you can use there products too.
The last thing you should do is use once a week a lipscrub. And you can't find them much, but we know that The Body Shop and Lush sell them. But that's of course a bit expensive... So here is an alternative:
Super easy and quick. And not expensive at all. It may seem disgusting, but we really like it actually. It tastes very sweet. And the best of all: this will make your lips super soft.
If you do this you will have soft and healthy lips. Trust us. And you don't even have to have patience, because after the first time you used these products your lips will already be super soft.
Isn't this product a dream that comes true for all the girls that have curly frizzy hair? A friend of Femke with wavy frizzy hair tried this product and told her experience to Femke. So no, we didn't try it ourselves. And normally we would never tell you something that we didn't try out ourselves first. But Femke saw it with her own eyes so we're telling you this anyway.
So you're probably wondering if it works or not. Well Femke's friend got straight hair for 3 days, but this product made her hair even more frizzy. And there is nothing worse than straight frizzy hair. So we don't recommend it to you. And this is not the only product we didn't like of John Frieda, so Femke will probably never try products of this brand anymore.
We spotted Miranda Kerr in this beautiful outfit. She's wearing a long skirt combined with a black top, high heels and bag.
When combined right, long skirts look really chic and beautiful. And Miranda Kerr knows combined hers perfectly! It's one with a very busy print so she did well in only wearing black.
We also love her high-heels. They're very casual, yet very chic and they match the outfit perfectly.
A bad thing that comes with summer is the damage the sun does to your hair. We're always taking care of our skin, by using suncream,... but not many people are aware of the fact it's also bad to expose your hair to the sun too long. A lot of people love the fact that their hair gets blonder from the sun, but it also kind of dries out...
But okay, now we've made you aware of this, you probably wonder what you should do to protect your hair.
Well first of all it can help lot to wear a hat. We made a post about hats we like already and also one about wich hairstyles to wear with a hat. This will also prevent your hair from getting blonder.
There are also a lot of hair products you can use. Every brand of hair products probably sells something like this so we won't make a list. The only thing you must think of when you go buy a product to protect your hair against the sun is that Octyl Methyoxycinnamate must be listed in the contents. This is a sunscreen ingredient, so this is what makes the product work. Anything else you find with this ingredient in is good too, for excample conditioner.
Also use conditioner weekly. The sun breaks down the hair's protein and conditioner helps to build it up again.

Great news: we finally know who designed the beautiful collections of Maison Martin Margiella! His name is Matthieu Blazy, he's half belgian (oooh, we're proud now), he's amazing and according to Vogue he's becoming a real star! In the picture above, wich is from Suzy Menkes (from Vogue's) Instagram-account, you can see him next to Raf Simons, his former boss.
The new designer's identity was kept a secret because their collections come from a team, not from one person. Well that must be true, but 'You can’t keep such a talent under wraps.', like Menkes wrote.
If you're not familiar with the brand Maison Martin Margiella here's a little bit of fashion history:
The brand was established by Martin Margiella, a belgian designer. He was born in Genk in 1957 and studied at the Antwerp RoyalAcademy of Fine Arts. After that he worked as an assistant-designed for Jean-Paul Gaultier for 4 years (what a great way to start a carreer!) and than established his own brand: Maison Martin Margiella. Altought everybody knew his name, his identity stayed kind of secret, because he never goes on the catwalk after a show and barily speaks with the press. This might also be a reason why the new designer's name was kept a secret for so long. Martin Margiella stopped working since 2009 and now Matthieu Blazy makes the designs.
Today is another post about one of Mimi Ikonn's videos. We know it's 2 days in a row, but she is just awesome. Yesterday she posted a 'How to: Parisian Style' video. Which we think is something we need to share with you guys. Because French women, like Mimi says in the video, have a very effortless but chic style. We really admire that and we wish we could dress up like them. So if you wanna look Parisian, here are the rules:
1. All black
An outfit with nothing else but black in it. Many women in Paris do this and it looks stunning. It looks the best with a dress like Mimi wears in the photo above, because the Parisian style is very femenine and if you're going to wear a whole black outfit with pants, it may look a bit tomboy or even gothic.
2. Polka dots
In Paris the women don't wear a lot of patterns, but when they do it's usually something classic like polka dots. So by wearing a polka dot sweater, shirt, skirt or dress you will give your outfit that Parisian twist.
3. Stripes
Beside polka dots, stripes are also a very classy pattern. So again it's something you will see a lot in Paris. For us a striped sweater is one of the most typical French things, but wearing a striped skirt or dress can be very Parisian too.
4. A pop of red
Parisian women mostly wear neutral colors, but the only exception is red. So you can wear with your neutral colored outfit something red and that will make your outfit super Paris-like.
5. A hat
This is something you probably already know: that hats are a very typical accessoire in France. So wearing a hat will deffinitely make your outfit Parisian.
So these are the rules for the Parisian style. We basically said everything Mimi says in her video, but if you still want to see it here it is:
Well, why should you always dress your best? Mimi Ikonn made last year a video about this subject. And we already watched it back then, but Femke saw it today again and she really wanted to share this with you. Here it is:
If you don't want to watch the whole video(which we still recommend you to do), she just says thet when you don't dress your best you don't feel like coming outside because you're feeling very ugly and lazy, but when you do dress your best you want to be seen and you will feel a lot prettier. So you should really think about this and try to dress your best everyday, because it will make a difference in your mood.
We spotted Jessica Alba wearing this casual but still very stylish outfit. She was wearing an oversized white shirt with an oversized white blazer. Very fashionable but yet also very comfy. And with that she was wearing these purple pants. Purple isn't really a trendy color, but it's something different than usual and that is always good.
Her bag is what we like the most about thise whole oufit. It's just so pretty! And again it's something different than the normal shoppers you see in black or brown.
Her sandals are very pretty too. And these kind of heels with laces are always very comfy.
And for accessoires she is just wearing pilot sunglasses and a silver necklace.
So this look is super comfy and stylish like we said many times in this post. It's perfect for work, school or to go shopping with. It is maybe a bit to warm for summer, but if you live near Belgium you will sure have some colder days too.
When you struggle or struggled with acne you probably have asked yourself this question many times. We're going to tell you our experience with acne scars. Our acne scars always went away after a while. Which means that they sometimes stayed for 6 months (sometimes just 1 month), but they will always leave. We hope you're happy with this news! But you do need some patience, because some scars really need the time to heal. Meanwhile you should take good care of your skin to speed up this process. With that we mean cleaning your face every morning and evening, removing your makeup every night, protecting your face for the sun and moisturizing your skin.
How you can avoid acne scars: the only thing you can do is never squeeze out your pimples. Which sometimes is very hard not to do, but this is the main reason for acne scars. Sometimes your non-touched pimple can leave a scar too, so it's not only the squeezing that leaves a scar. But still you should stop doing that.

You've probably already seen the trend Loom Bands, the small elastics were you can make bracelets out of. They became a huge trend and are also very fun to make: perfect when you've got nothing to do this summer.
First we thought it was a little childish, but literally everybody has them! Also a lot of celebs fell in love with them for excample Kate Middleton (as you see in the picture above), Miley Cyrus and Harry Styles.

This one looks really special! It's a dragon tail-bracelet and it's not that difficult to make. Also everyone has got a fork, you don't need anything special to make this.
Maia has bought a packet of looms too, but she hasn't made one yet (she's going to take them on vacation with her) but we'll post about it when she's made some. She bought glow-in-the-dark ones by the way. :)

It's Femke again. And today I'm wearing this look. I love this shirt of Zara so much! And it goes perfect with this skirt of H&M. I actually bought this shirt especially to wear with this skirt, because there doesn't go much with this skirt. I bought them both last year, so I don't think you can buy it anymore. The skirt just cost € 3 which is so cheap! :o Well, I love these both clothing pieces together.
Again I'm wearing my flats of H&M. I know I wore them a lot this week, but they go with almost all my looks. And I also would prefer to wear Louboutin kind of shoes with this look, but since i don't have any these flats were the second best choice.
For accessoires I'm wearing my most favourite bracelet ever, which is this black leather wrap of Evelina Barry's brand Mintbarry. Than I'm also wearing some golden earing and two golden rings and I don't know where they come from, but it's all very basic, so I think you can easily find look-a-likes.
I'm posting this a bit early today, because I'm going to my sister. And I will stay there for 5 days. This look can be worn casually, but it's also perfect for a more special event or even to go clubbing with. Which is perfect, because my sister and I are maybe going to a free concert tonight.
