Hi,
Last week we made a whole post about running. And just like many people have the resolution of going running more often many people also have the resolution of doing workouts. Same as with running, we're sure many of these people give up too soon. So again we'll try to help!
It can of course help to follow a workout programs or challenges, because they'll make you feel more obligated to do it every day. But then you need to have time every day and it are often longer workouts, so you can also just search out some shorter workouts yourself, wich you can combine to make some kind of week schedule. For example, Maia looked for 5 different workouts that focus on different muscles so that she can combine it with her running program without making it all too heavy.
The workouts she's found are these:
As you see they're all rather short, but still very effective. The first two are from Neila Rey, where Maia has also got her running programs from. The third one she found on We Heart It. She read later that it's some kind of very effective scientific workout that only takes 7 minutes. The last two are from Blogilates and they're also explained in YouTube video's.
If you want to follow a real workout schedule, we reccomend the challenges and programs from Neila Rey, which you can find on her website. The challenges are less intensive then the workouts and will also take less time.
Another workout scheldule, which Maia's planning on doing when she finally has some more time, is this one:
As you can see it focusses on different body parts but also on the whole body. We like how everything's explained in video's, so that's it's very easy to follow.
Femke does daily a short workout. Again she doesn't follow any kinds of special workouts or schedules. But she did at first and now she knows which exercices work out the best for her. Maybe you'll notice that soon too. So now she has this daily routine that contains exercices for different body parts. And once a week she will do a longer one, with other exercices she nows.
Believe in yourself, you can do it!
xoxo
