How To Grow Long Healthy Hair: Some Facts (Part 1)

blonde

Hi!

Long and healthy hair, that's probably every girls dream. There are so many pictures on weheartit, ... of girls with beautiful long hair and it seems like all celebrities have perfect hair. We've got some tips that will help you with the process of growing your hair. Femke has tried to grow her hair long whole her life now, but it couldn't grow fast. But now her hair has grown very fast in just a couple of months. So we wanna share her experience with you. We could keep talking about this subject, so we split it in 3 posts and every saturday you can expect another one. This one is about some hair-facts.

Normally your hair grows one centimeter each month. Yes, we know, it doesn't seems like that, but you just don't notice because you see yourself every day. :p Next fact: the longest your hair can grow is 80 cm. :o By men, ofcouse, it is less. And there are some exceptions too, but to long hair isn't pretty either.

Before your hair will actually grow it has to be healthy. So the first thing you have to do make sure is that your ends are not split. If your ends are split you won't be able to grow your hair. So before you start with this process cut your hair so you have no split ends anymore. And like that your hair will grow much faster!

You can prevent getting split ends by wearing your hair up. If there's friction with your back, your hair will get damaged. Another thing is to make sure you don't have rubber bands with that metallic thing on(we have no idea how you call that), because that demages your hair too. Also bobbypins demage your hair, and we know that a lot people use them, we do too, but if you really want healthy hair you should stop using them for a while.

But the key-ingredient to long hair is patient of course. ;)

xoxo
