Femke's NikeID's

Hi,

We told you all already that Femke got a pair of customized Nikes in our Sportwear post and we said too that we were going to show you them in a sportwear shoplog. But they arrived last week and Femke couldn't wait to show you them. And don't they deserve an own post? So here they are! That sportwear shoplog is not for soon by the way, because we both didn't got the time for some sportwear shopping. So you should wait a bit longer for that.

Femke, who never owned any pair of sport shoes, put a lot of time in searching the perfect sport shoes (for her of course). She really enjoys to go jogging, so she chose to buy a pair of running shoes. On the Nike site you can see all the running shoes they sell and Femke liked this design the most: it's the Nike Roshe Run. This design is getting more popular, mostly for boys. But Femke saw some girls wearing them too, so they aren't only for boys. Femke liked most of the colors and patterns Nike sells in the Roshe Run design (there even is one with palmtrees, so cute), but Femke really wanted the perfect pair so she started customising. Which was a lot of fun, because you can change every little detail. First Femke wanted a cute pattern, then a flashy color, but she ended up with these black and white ones with some leather detailing. Also Femke put her initials on the back, because as you may have read in our post The Personal Touch, personalizing is a big trend. Femke thinks they look very stylish for a sportshoe and they're still wearable with a casual outfit. Normal Roshe Runs cost € 95,00, but these cost € 130,00. Femke thinks the price is not to expensive for a pair of customized shoes. The making of process lasted 1 moth and the delivery lasted only 5 days (and they were send in Vietnam). It's long, but deffinitely worth the waiting. They fit perfect (Femke tried of course first what her size was in the Roshe Run in some stores) and they are super comfy. So she is very happy with them! If you're looking for sport shoes you should really check out Nike's site. Because beside the fact that you can costumize some of there shoes, you have many choises. And remember: sport shoes don't always have to be ugly.

Essence Eyeliner Pen

Hi,

A while ago Maia bought an eyeliner pen from Essence. Maia doesn't use a lot of make-up because always tries to look as natural as possibly (normally she just uses BB-crème, mascara and lipgloss), but she really loves eyeliner too, so when she wants to look a bit more special she uses eyeliner.

This eyeliner pen from Essence is definitely better than Essence's liquid eyeliner altough that one's okay too. You can read our review about her liquid eyeliner here if you want to compare them. It's also definitely a lot better than a normal eyeliner pencil. Maia really hates these, they're so hard to work with!

What she likes the most about this eyeliner (and why she likes it better than her liquid eyeliner and any eyeliner pencil) is the thin tip. It's very easy to work with and it gives a perfect thin line. Essence also has eyeliner pens with less thin tips, if you prefer that, but Maia thinks it's perfect like this.

It says it's 'extra longlasting' and that's true, because it stays the whole day. But it's also easy to remove again, you can just wash it away with water. This also has disadventages: it's not waterproof and it's not that very dark black. You also always need to put two layers, because when you only draw one line you can barely see it, as you see in the picture below.

While the liquid eyeliner wipes out easily, this one is way better altough both of them aren't waterproof.

When Maia uses eyeliner she mostly goes for a normal thin line above her eye, wich is very easy to do, but can make a whole difference to your eye-look. We also made a post about eyeliner shapes ones, so maybe you should check that one out when you want to experiment with eyeliner.

"Make Up" by Michelle Phan

Hi,

Maybe you've already seen it, but Michelle Phan has her own book. It's called "Make Up: Your Life Guide To Beauty, Style and Success - Online and Off". She announced this in a video she posted on her youtube channel today. In the same video she also gives you kind of a preview and already shows some pages of the book. We think the lay-out is very very beautiful and the book cover too of course. From what we've seen we can conclude it'll be a book full of beautiful pictures and bright colors.
Her book's coming out this october but if you order now, you'll get a limited edition book cover jacket, wich she's drawn herself. It costs €14, wich is actually a really good price for a hardcover book.
Of course her book's going to be about make-up, but she also gives fashion tips and tricks in it. We love her video's a lot, they're always very helpfull, so we think her book will be really good too.
Michelle Phan also has her own make-up brand, Em. You can read our post about this here.
