What To Do With Your Hair When It Rains
Hi,
As someone with very sleek hair, rain isn't such a drama for me, but I know that for people with a bit more frizzy hair fall in Belgium is hell. And since we can't do anything about the rain, you should try the best you can with your hair.
In an interview with Vogue, hairstylist George Northwood tells us to wear a sleek hairstyle when it's rainy. Your hair will get messy anyway, so by starting of sleek it will stay good for as long as the wheather allows. He especially advises to wear your hair in a sleek pony, but I think tight buns or something french- or dutch braided will do as well. As long as there aren't many loose pieces of hair, you'll be safe.
The lighter your hair is, the more it will frizz, so the best thing to do on a rainy day is make your hair heavier instead. This means no washing in the morning and using some hair products. We reviewed plenty of anti-frizz products through the years, so go try something out! Of course a bit of hair spray will do too. Don't even bother curling or straightening your hair these days, because the humidity in the air will let it curl or frizz even more! If you want to keep your hair loose, you'll need to embrace it's natural texture.
Hope you can keep your beautiful hair in shape with these few tips!
xoxo
Maia
