Kimono

As you probably already read in our post with lots of spring clothes we said that kimono's are a big trend this season. And we thought the kimono should deserve his own post too. ;)

The kimono is a Japanese traditional piece of clothing. They are long T-shaped robes, which are wrapped around the body. Today some women in Japan still wear them, but mostly for special occasions. A few older women and even fewer older men in Japan still wear the kimono on a daily basis. But the modern kimono is a big trend right now. It isn't wrapped around the body anymore and it's mostly short, but you still have some longer versions. The modern kimono has a very light fabric and still has the flower print, like the old ones. Of course you can find them without the floral print if you don't like that. We really love them. They look so pretty and feminine, happily it isn't worn by men anymore. You can wear it with a casual outfit or with a more chic outfit. And it really goes with almost everything, if the colors match.
