Hi,

Jennifer Aniston was spotted looking fabulous in this casual outfit. She just chose to wear a black sweater with a striped top peeking out underneath and a pair of boyfriend jeans, but this created a very stylish, casual look. She's also wearing a black scarf, black sunglasses and a black hat with it, which makes the picture complete. Her shoes are these brown wedges, which I think goes great with this look.

Overall this is a very fashionable, but still comfy outfit, that's so easy to recreate!

Shoplog: Hype Backpack

Hi,

Last week springbreak ended here in Belgium and to give me some motivation for the last 2 months of this schoolyear (and also because I needed a new one) I bought myself a new backback. I wanted a stylish one that's still made out of good quality.

When I was browsing on Asos I found this brand called Hype. Hype sells many gorgeous backpacks, but I fell for this beige one. I don't know why but beige is kind of my colour fashion wise. I also just love Hype's cute logo.

It cost me only € 34,23, which I find a reasonable price for a backpack. It's made out of great quality and it's waterproof. It kind of reminds me of the Eastpack backpacks, but everyone has those, so this is a lot more original.

I'm very happy with my new backpack and I really recommend Hype's backpacks.

Top 10 Under £10 Makeup Products

Hi,

Today I'm going to share something of Fleur De Force again. She has these series called 'Top 10 Under £10'. I watched all of the videos of these series and I think they are very useful if you're new to makeup, like me. It's always very important to do some research before you're buying something and Fleur De Force really knows something about makeup, because well, it's her job to try out products and review them. Also makeup can be quite expensive, even if you're talking about drugstore products, because if you buy a lipstick, a foundation, a powder and so on for £10, than you will be spending a lot more money than you think. So it's very important that you don't regret buying anything.

She also has a Top 10 Under £10 video for skincare and one for beauty, but I wanted to share the makeup ones today.

Spotted: Blake Lively

Hi,

Blake Lively was spotted in this very special outfit. I have to admit that I don't really like this outfit, even though I do think the dress on its own would be pretty, but I do think that this is a very stylish and fun look. Her complete look is from Roksanda.

Her hair is pulled back in a very sleek and neat low-ponytail. Which is also not one of my favourite hairstyles. But I think it goes well with this look.

This is definitely a look to remember!

Maia's Lookbook: Wearing My Favorite Sweater

Hi,

It was a really sunny day today in Belgium, although not that warm yet, so I decided to wear one of my favorite sweaters! Today was a lazy, stay-at-home day for me, but still I like looking a bit put together :)

So as I already said, I wore this white sweater with navy blue stripes. I really love this sweater, especially because of the boat neck which, I think, looks very elegant. I combined it with my boyfriend jeans from Mango. As you can see I rolled up the legs, because this fitted the style (and also because my pants are a bit too long...)
These kind of jeans look better with pumps, but because I was just staying at home, I decided to wear my (sort of) white espadrilles with them. I also wore my gold chain necklace from Mimi In The Box. This sort of necklaces fit perfect with a boat neck and gold goes great with navy blue.

And that was my outfit for today!

Vaseline Spray & Go Body Moisturiser Cacao Radiant

I already reviewed the normal cacao radiant body lotion of Vaseline, but today I'm going to review the spray & go version of this. I had my eye on these for a while now, but I always thought it was kind of silly to buy one of these when I could just get a normal moisturizer. But when I recently wanted to spoil myself with a new body lotion, I wanted to give this one a go.

And I'm obsessed with it now! It has exacly the same smell and effect as the normal cacao radiant body lotion. But it has a completely different texture. It's more liquid, which makes you use a lot less of it and which makes it last a lot longer, and it soaks in a lot faster. It's also just very much fun to apply it. I don't know why but I find my joy in little things like these.

So I really recommend it! And if you're not such a chocolate lover like I am, than you can also try out some of there other fragrances.

Red Lipstick Do's and Don'ts

Hi,

As we posted before, bright red lipstick is a huge trend again. But of course you have to combine it right. Here we'll give you an overview of the do's and don'ts of red lipstick.

What you really should do is make sure you have a lipstick color that suits you. The color has to match with your skin tone. But don't worry, we've got a post about that too :)
When your lipstick is already an eye catcher, you'd better keep the rest of your make up looking more natural. To start with, avoid using another color on your eyes. Keep it simple with only black, for example smokey eyes or cat eyes.
If you have a rather pale skin, you can use a foundation that's a bit darker than usual to avoid having too much of a contrast between your skin and your lip color.
Also you'd want your lipstick to be long lasting, so apply a coat of transparant lipgloss over it. Or, like I do mostly, use vaseline.
You also have to make sure your outfit matches your make up look. Red lipstick look great combined with black and brown shades. Avoid animal prints or bright colors, because this may look a bit trashy.

What you better avoid is, like we mentioned before, more bright colors in your make up. Less is more and more colors will draw away the attention from your fabulous red lips. ;)
Also really make sure there's no lipstick on your teeth. This may sound obvious but you should double check it before you go out. :o A great way to make sure lipstick won't get on your teeth, is by applying a very thin layer of vaseline on your teeth.
Don't overdo with the jewelry. It's the same as with the rest of your make up: don't make it too eye catching. Do wear something subtle like small pearl earrings or a simple small necklace.

Dove Nutritive Solutions Daily Moisture Conditioner

Hi,

I tried another conditioner of the Dove Nutritive Solutions range out. This time I wanted to try the Daily Moisture conditioner. I've already tried the Nourishing Oil Care shampoo and conditioner out of this range and if you've been following us for a while, you will now that it's one of my favourites shampoos and conditioners ever (along with the Dove Pure Care Sublime Oil shampoo and conditioner). It made my hair almost completly frizzy-free. The Daily Moisture Conditioner says it kind of does the same thing: it smoothes your hair up to 5 times, without weighing it down. So I did have high expectations of this conditioner.

First of all: I really, really love its smell. It smells kind of like candy. And the smell stays a couple of days on your hair, which I love. After using it my hair feels very soft and yes, also moistrurized. I do get why it's in the same range as the Nourishing Oil Care collection, because it kind of has the same effect on my hair. But I still think the Nourishing Oil Care shampoo and conditioner are better for making your hair less frizzy. But I do really like this conditioner. And I really recommend it if you experience very dry and damaged hair.

You've probably already noticed my love for the Dove haircare products. I just think they all really do its justice. So if you haven't tried any of them yet: you really should! And on this blog you can find many reviews, because I've already tried lots out.

Femke's Lookbook: Being In a Daisy Mood

Hi,

I felt like wearing something floral, or more specific daisy, printed today. I was actually hoping so bad that the daisy trend would still be going on this spring, but as dissapointing as it is I haven't seen many daisy printed things in the stores yet. Which doesn't mean I have to say goodbye to my daisy printed clothes yet, because I still love them.

So today, since it was a very sunny and sping-like day, I descided to wear one of my daisy tops from last year. This daisy printed top is from Forever 21. It's a very flowy top with a special cut, that I can't really describe, but I do know that Boohoo sells tops like these and they're called the 'Swing Vests'. With that I'm wearing my bright blue jeans of H&M. I think the colour of your jeans has such a big effect on your outfit. Wearing a bright jeans like this one will make your outfit a lot more colorful and spring-appropriate. I also rolled up the ends of my jeans, because I love that laid back and more casual look.

I descided to take my Longcamp backback in a sandy colour with me today. I love this backpack, because it fits a lot and is very handy, but still looks very stylish.

I'm also wearing a pair of sunglasses today. These are just basic round ones from Kruidvat, a Dutch drugstore. I love how a pair of sunglasses makes your outfit instantly look more put together and again stylish.

So this was my outfit of the day, I hope you liked it!

Kruidvat Cleansing Soft Peeling

Hi,

In this post I'm going to review Kruidvat's Cleansing Soft Peeling with jojoba beads and bamboo extract. Kruidvat is a Dutch drugstore and this peeling is of there own brand, which means it was very cheap and which also means it's not going to be that great, but it was worth to try it out.

First of all I do like the sent of this product, even though it's not such a special outstanding sent. But I don't like the product itself at all. I think it's more a cleanser than a peeling, because the amount of beats in this product is very small. This normally wouldn't really bother me, because the name itself says that it's a soft peeling. But the beats are very harsh and it actually hurts to scrub your face with it. So I don't get this product, because on the one side there are almost no beats in there which makes you feel like you're getting no where with this product, but than on the other side the little amount of beats that are in there are very harsh. So no I would never buy this product again and no I don't recommend it to anyone.

So this was kind of a failure. Normally you don't really think a peeling can be that dissapointing, but this peeling is a great example of one that is dissapointing.

Makeup Trends For This Spring

I recently saw this video of Fleur De Force, that I thought was worth to share with you guys. It's an update your makeup bag for spring video. In this video Fleur talks about the makeup trends this spring and she gives some examples of great products you can use for these trends. So if you're really into makeup and you want to update your makeup collection for this spring, than watch this video here:

So in this video Fleur talks about 3 upcoming makeup trends:
- A golden look, which means a makeup look that is very bronzed and glowy with lots of warm-toned colours. This is my favourite trend of all 3, because I've always liked to use golden colours in my makeup, it just looks the best on me.
- A pop of blue in your look. For this trend you can use maybe a blue eyeliner, a blue eyeshadow or if you're feeling very daring blue mascara. This will freshen up your look and will make it instantly look very special.
- A rose tinted look. Very pink cheeks, pink lips and pink eyeshadow is used for this trend. You can go very over the top with this trend or keep it very basic, that's totally up to you.
I do think that if you're like me and if you have a more yellow undertone golden colours will look better on you than pink colours and if you've a more pink undertone you will look better with the pink colours. But this is of course totally up to you. So experiment with these trends and have fun!

Spotted: Amal Clooney

 

Hi,

Amal Clooney was spotted and she looked once again flawless. She was wearing a plain white shirt and skirt, with on top of that a trench coat. These are wardrobe staples you can never go wrong with. But to give it that extra spring-like touch, she pared these gorgeous floral printed heels with it and a bright red bag (which goes great with her red lipstick). The complete outfit looks very classy and chic.

How to Trim Your Dead Ends at Home

Hi,

To be honest I never go to the hairdresser, I always get my hair done at home by my grandmother. But I recently saw a video of Amber Fillerup that teaches you how to trim your hair yourself. And it made me think because Amber really cuts every single dead end, that you might didn't even think of you had before you saw this video. Well, I can't really explain it, so just watch the video:

I would recommend you not to do this with regular scissors, because they already break your hair when you cut it. Trimming your hair like this will really help it grow a lot faster, because dead ends prevent your hair from growing and when you just cut the bottom of your hair, you won't get rid of all those dead ends. So hopefully you found this helpful, because I really did!

First one costed only €3.95 and the other one's €6.95. A little bit more than my original budget, but totaly worth the money :)

The Body Shop Aloe Eye Defence

Hi,

I've never used an eye cream before, because I'm just a teenager and I never really felt like I needed to use one. But when the skin around my eyes started to be very dry this winter, I thought it was about time to try one out. So I bought the Aloe Eye Defence of The Body Shop. I've never heard of this eye cream before, but I know aloe is very good for your skin and I love all the products of The Body Shop, so it was worth to try.

Like I already said, this winter I got very dry eyes. And not just dry, but flaking-skin-dry. I don't get why, because this never happened with me before and I have an oily skin type. But it happened... And it looked horrible. After the first time I used the Aloe Eye Defence I already saw a huge difference. Three days passed by and the area around my eyes wasn't dry and flaking anymore. Instead the skin around my eyes looked and felt very healthy again. It's amazing how fast this product works!

I stopped using this eye cream for a while then, because it's not the cheapest product and again, I didn't really felt like using it anymore. But my eyes started to get very dry again. So now I use it daily. The skin around my eyes has never looked so amazing and felt so soft. And this product lasts a long time, because you just have to use a thiny little bit of it, which makes the fact that it's expensive not that bad anymore.

I use it at night, right before I go to bed. But you can use it in the morning too. It actually has a very refreshing feeling, so I think it's meant to be used in the morning. But it's my personal preference to use it at night.

I can't really compare this eye cream with others, because like I said before: I've never used another one before. But I do think this is a very good eye cream.

Blush Trend

Hi,

We spotted a new blush trend! Or at least in Japan. Many models and fashionista's there wear there blush under their eyes now. They say it's to make them look young and cute and it also makes your eyes look bigger. And a great advantage: it hides dark circles!
I actually really like the look, so I think this should be a trend in the rest of the world too!
