Real Techniques Make Up Brushes

Hi,

We told you Femke got herself some make up brushes and here finally is the review! So she got the Real Techniques brushes. This brand is created by the youtubers Sam and Nic Chapman.

It took Femke a long time to figure out which brushes she would get. Like always she did some research first and the most popular brands for make up brushes are Sigma, Mac, Bobbi Brown, Zoeva and Real Techniques. Sigma, Mac and Bobbi Brown are way too expensive for Femke, so these were already scratched of her list. Then she really wanted the Zoeva Rose Golden Luxury Set, but she wasn't sure if the rose gold would stay. So she just bought the Real Techniques ones, which actually is the cheapest brand of all the brands she chose from. And to be honest, also the most popular brand.

She wanted to buy all the basic brushes every woman needs. So she got: the powder brush, the expert face brush, the blush brush, the retractable kabuki brush, lash-brow groomer and the starter set with the deluxe crease brush, the base shadow brush, the brow brush, the accent brush and the fine liner brush. The powder brush is obviously used for powder. Femke thinks it has just the right size. And it feels very soft. The expert face brush is for foundation. At first Femke thought it was going to be a bit too small, but she thinks the size is just right again. It makes applying foundation a hell of a lot easier and quicker. The blush brush and retractable kabuki brush are both used for blush and bronzer. But the different shapes get a different effect, that's why Femke got them both. The retractablke kabuki brush has a lid. And it took Femke a long time to figure out how to put it on, but it's very easy actually. In the pictures below you can see how to easily put the lid on. The lash-brow groomer is as the name says used for your lashes and brows. But Femke doesn't think it's very handy to use on your lashes, she's always very scared she will poke it in her eyes. She does use it on her brows and she thinks it does a great job. The starter set has basically all the eye brushes you need when you're starting out a make up collection. It comes with this very handy pocket, that has the possibility to put other (bigger) brushes in too.

Femke is very happy with her brushes. The design is very light and handy to use. And even though the Zoeva Rose Golden Luxury Set is way prettier, she still thinks these brushes look pretty too. And she likes that they have different colors: the orange brushes are for your face, the pink brushes for blush and brozer and the purple ones are for your eyes. Femke thinks it's very well made and that they will last her a long time. So she would totally recommend them!

Here are some pictures of all the brushes she got:
