Rimmel Stay Matte Powder

Hi,

Femke finally got her make up brushes (a review will follow soon), which means she can experiment with a lot more make up now. One of the first things she had to buy was a powder. After doing a lot of research, she came on the conclusion that the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder is the best one. It has lots of great reviews and it is the favourite drugstore powder of many people. So she bought that one in the color 006: warm beige, which turned out great for her.

On the back it says that it's up to 5 hours natural shine control. That made Femke very disappointed, because she expected it to be perfect and 5 hours is actually not that long. Femke really needs a powder that will last the whole day. Well, she tried it anyways and still loved it. It does stay perfect (!) for 5 hours, but after those 5 hours it still looks very good. Of course you can touch it up after these 5 hours, but Femke thinks it's not even needed. Except if it's very hot or you're working out, but that's normal. So she really gets why many people love this product!

On the back it also says it helps minimise the appearance of pores which Femke thinks it doesn't really do. But she didn't expected it to do that, so it doesn't really matter to her.

Now Femke can use her Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation again. That makes her very happy, because the Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation looks so natural. The stupid thing is that with this powder on top is starts looking less natural. Still it's not very noticeable that you're wearing make up, but from close you can see it. Which bothers Femke. Also she stopped using the Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation because it's shiny already and with her oily skin she looked way to shiny. With this powder it's not shiny anymore, but you still can see the glitters of the foundation and the glitters of the powder too, because yes this "stay matte" powder has glitters in it. This doesn't really bother her that much, but she didn't expected it to be so glittery.

Even though this review looks kind of critical, Femke is very happy she bought it and she will keep using it.

xoxo
