Essence Oil Controll Make-Up Base

 Hi,

Maia has kind of an oily skin, wich is very annoying... She really hates it and it ruines her make-up sometimes. So she had to find a sollution!
Femke recently reviewed the Body Shop's All-In-One Instablur, wich is similar, but more expencive.
So in this post you'll find out wether the one from Essence is equally good or not!

This make-up base does reduce the oilyness of your skin, but actually not enough. It's effect is so little that it's actually barely worth using... It stays long, just as it says on the package, but that doesn't really matter when the effect isn't good. It makes your skin a little bit softer and more smooth and it also minimize the appearance of pores, but again you can still see it's a bit oily...

As you can see it's almost transparant and it's not sticky or heavy at all. On the package they advise to applicate just a thin layer and this is indeed what has the best effect. If you apply more it still has the same effect, but feels heavier.

To come back on the primer from The Body Shop: that one is deffinitely better. Femke's review was very positive and she said it really worked and actually this one from Essence barely makes a difference. So here's a life lesson we've learned today: better spent a little more money on something better than less money on a bad copy. :s

xoxo
